How do we represent students academically?
The Students’ Union represents your academic needs is by collecting your voice. We find ways to gather your opinions, thoughts, and feelings, and use that voice to improve the educational experience at Harper.
The Student Voice Survey is one way in which we collect voice. We gather hundreds of student opinions on important questions, and use those responses to advocate for change across campus. We speak to senior university staff with our recommendations, and hold the university, and ourselves, accountable for creating the change that students ask for.
We are also the leaders of academic representation through Course Reps, or Educational Champions. By ensuring that each course and year has student representatives in course committee meetings, we ensure that students are present and active when decisions are made.
