As a democratic, membership charity we have a range of documents that help explain how we run and make decisions. These are known as our governance documents. The Consitution is our core document, defining the legal status of the Union together with the required elected positions, decision-making processes, and financial definitions.
This page contains official policies and documents relating to your Students' Union. Most of it is quite dull, being honest, but we have a duty to have it available to view.
ARTICLES AND BYE-LAWS
The rules of how the Union operates can be found in the Memorandum and Articles of Association (HASU Constitution), which lays down the basic rules that we must follow.
The Trustees also approve Bye-Laws which provide more detail behind the Memorandum and Articles of Association.
